The upcoming International Forum and Exhibition "Safety and Labor protection" BIOT-2020 will be held online for the first time in its 24-year history on December 8-11, 2020.
The decision to change the BIOT-2020 format was made after a series of consultations with key exhibitors and largest visitors of the exhibition, based on the unfavorable situation associated with the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.
Given the critical role played by ensuring safe working conditions and personal protective equipment in the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the BIOT-2020 Organizing Committee emphasizes the importance of the forum and continues to actively work on its preparation.
In the nearest time the Forum’s website BIOTEXPO.ONLINE will start working, where the program of upcoming online events will be presented. Due to the wide capabilities of the Internet platform, participants will be able to register and plan a schedule of meetings, business negotiations and presentations, set up schedule attendance at conferences and seminars of the forum's business program, which is of particular importance this year.
In the virtual pavilions there will be exposition of the exhibition where stands and products of all key enterprises in the PPE industry will be presented.
According to ASIZ President (organizer and operator of BIOT) Vladimir Kotov, for the first time in the entire difficult period of the pandemic, we will have a unique opportunity to provide for a broad discussion of the economic situation on the labor market. New meanings of the concept “Ensuring the safety of a working person”, which now include the medical aspect, open up a wide field for the development of mechanisms and rules the society and the state will have to live at least in the near future.
Within the business program of “BIOT-2020”, a number of sessions and panels are arranged through Video Conferencing as well where the heads of federal executive authorities – the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Social Insurance Fund, Rosstandart (the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology), Rostrud (the Federal Service for Labor and Employment), Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing), as well as heads and top managers of the largest industrial enterprises, leading Russian and foreign experts will participate.
